From Beijing: Spriitual battles and Praises

Dear GMC brothers and sisters in Christ,
“I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips!” (Psalms 34:1) The Lord is to be praised always because He is always good!
In the past month, since I have written to you, there have been a series of spiritual battles and hardships. These difficulties are happening because the enemy knows that we are embarking on a victorious journey here in Beijing China, and he is afraid that many will come to know the true and Living God and join the body of Christ. Brothers and sisters, thank you for your fervent prayer, however, please continue to pray for us. Jun and I are praying for GMC as well.
Some struggles we are facing include keeping the unity of our team. In our daily life, each one of us must go through a routine and inevitably, because we are imperfect human beings, we begin to annoy each other and the unity of the team begins to falter. Some of the teammate’s hearts are longing for home and feel lonely. Every morning our team awakes as if from the dead and we have been losing our focus. Some of the students we are teaching who initially were excited to know God are beginning to experience indifference, and as school examinations come up, the students are starting to place other less significant duties before the Lord.
Don’t be worried though, we are fighting a fight we know we will win. Just please lift us up in your prayers as a church and individually.
Take heart! To shed some light on all the relatively dark news, God is alive and moving in this place! Leaders are being raised who are taking ownership of Tsing Hua University. Among the leaders are freshmen who have just recently received Christ, and they wake up everyday for sunrise prayer! We have just begun to take the students out to share the Gospel, giving them the opportunity to put into action what they have been learning in weekly Bible studies. And tonight (11/18) will be their first Friday night prayer meeting, where they will pray for their campus, family, friends, and also develop an urgent heart for the nations to know Christ. As I have said, God is moving and will continue to! Please lift up our team to God for we know that He delights when we call to Him.
